Gasfins - FIN SERIES




	All our fins are manufactured from high quality fiberglass materials. Available in solid colours with light weight cores or translucent colours also with light weight soric cores.


		All Gasfins high performance fins are manufactured using resin transfer moulding techniques adapted for cavity moulding. A dry lay up of 2, 4 & 6 ounce fibreglass cloth of various shapes are sandwiched around a honeycomb performance core mat, (soric) which also aids the flow of polyester resin through the fin mould. This performance core mat reduces the weight of each fin but still retains the characteristics of fibre-glass and gives the fin an impressive finish. The fibre-glass cloth is trimmed and laid in the mould to achieve the identical flex pattern for each fin in a set and the performance we wish to achieve. In comparison to hand moulded fins which notoriously have air-bubbles and varying flex patterns, our fins have a uniform flex pattern with an excellent transparency, void of any visible air bubbles.

Construction: Excellent all round fins for Groms, smaller boards or lighter Surfers. Also suitable as trailer rail fins on Longboards.

Composite fins are manufactured using an injection moulding process aimed at retaining the positive flex pattern memory only achievable with composite materials.
Glass fibre is added in the manufacturing process to aid stiffness to the base of the fin whilst still allowing the tip to flex, making the fin more forgiving at high speeds and through your turns. Composite fins remain competitively priced against glass-fibre fins
